For the future? “There’s always room to create something nice!”

“In some way, you may say that beauty is within us, for how we live, for how we cultivate it and then you need to nourish yourself with art… Aesthetics has become the element which makes the difference and, as a consequence, today the importance of design in the company is truly relevant… Nobody will ever be able to say “I designed that car”: that isn’t true. In our profession, we need major integration, and we never needed that more than we do today. This is a team job… Our job’s mission isn’t about being a stylist: we need to be designers… the designer’s peculiarity is thinking about what is to come, not about what is already past…”
The interview with Filippo Perini, taken from the beautiful book “Fare l’automobile” (Making cars) by Mario Favilla and Aldo Agnelli, published by Marsilio Editori.
